Pakistani activist Malala Yousafzai will launch her own book club, named "Fearless". The initiative will be officially launched in October on the virtual reading platform "Literati". The purpose is to highlight female voices that have historically been underrepresented, and she herself will choose one work per month - in a special edition and with notes made by herself - to send to subscribers.
Malala says she has always been passionate about reading and books, which is why she wants to reinforce the role of education as a tool for the emancipation of women. For the young woman, leading a book club, especially in a time of crisis, brings an important reminder: learning is essential to free people misinformation and prejudice. The club, therefore, will come to inspire young people to write and overcome their fears.
